BioShape™
BioShape™ has been developed as an advanced concept for weight management. Bioshape contains a proportioned amount of essential amino acids to provide the body the capability for making protein necessary for health and firm musculature during a weight management program. In addition, Super Citrimax™ Full Strength has been added to the formula. This is a unique patented blend of two historically used Ayurvedic herbs, Garcinia cambogia and Gymnema sylvestre, plus a superior form of chromium, all extensively researched for optimizing fat and sugar metabolism.1-5
BioShape contains the highest quality, vegetable source, crystalline amino acids that are 99% absorbed within 20 minutes to perform maximally as a protein supplement without adding additional fats or calories to your daily diet. Essential amino acids are necessary for building protein and muscle throughout the body. Common protein sources such as various meats, eggs, milk and cheeses are often high in fats and cholesterol, and are not easily digested or assimilated. Taking essential amino acids during a weight management program helps assure that you are getting quality protein for keeping your body in shape, strong and healthy.
The Super Citrimax Full Strength blend added to BioShape contains an extract of Garcinia cambogia. The active compound, hydroxycitric acid (HCA), has been studied for its effects inhibiting fat production, activating the oxidation of fats in the liver and accelerating the burning of excess fat in the body.1,2,6,7
Clinical studies have shown Super Citrimax Full Strength when taken as directed to promote: 6,7
- A decrease in leptin levels with a reduction in body weight
- An increase in serotonin levels, which helps curb appetite
- The inhibition of fat synthesis
- An increase in fat burning
- Healthy blood lipid levels
- The reduction of Body Mass Index (indicator of obesity health risk)
Conditionally Essential Amino Acids
Peer reviewed research has shown that there are nine essential and two conditionally essential amino acids and these have been added to the BioShape formula.8,9,10 Under certain situations your body cannot always make the needed amounts of arginine, glutamine or histidine. When you exercise, become mentally or physically stressed, if you are over 55 years, or if you have a medical condition or are recovering from an illness you need these amino acids. Without enough histidine or glutamine the body actually breaks down muscle tissue to get them. 8,9 Glutamine is also critical for the immune system during illness or recovery.10
Arginine is also a conditionally essential amino acid.11 Researchers reported, "The effect of L-arginine in treating many common health problems is unique among amino acids and offers great promise for improved health and well being.''12 The authors state that arginine is beneficial in improving cardiovascular, reproductive, pulmonary, renal, GI, liver and immune functions.12
